Celebrating PRIDE with a collection of performance artists from the surrounding areas to support a locally owned LGBTQ+ Business.  Awakenings Boutique’s new location serving Fort Collins wishes to invite you to a special event in store that showcases unique talents and opportunities to learn, engage and support guest LGBTQ+ artists and allies.   There will be experts on site to answer questions about safety, connection, and artistry with rope.  From decorative weaving to suspension in the air, rope combines visual, physical, emotional, and cultural connectivity for many folx.  All interests in the artform are welcome and valid, so please join us as we host this one-time in store event!

ROPE ARTIST BIOS:

BeazKneez or Bea (They/Them) 

Bea is a Colorado resident who has been practicing rope in the local community for over a decade. They have been known to perform bondage publicly, provide ad-hoc rope education classes, and maintain a private studio space.  Bea has studied various forms of shibari bondage through extensive classes, conventions, and studies in Japan and is considered a master-level queer suspension shibari artist.  They strive to help budding rope and kink enthusiasts develop safety protocols, skills, equity, and diversity in the community through conscious conversations and creative programs.  They also work with nonprofit organizations dedicated to justice and social change utilizing arts and culture to build networks of conscious creators for community development and equity. Bea is very approachable, excited to answer questions about anything alt related and open to connection. Lady Alex or Alex (she/they) (Bea’s Model) 

Lady Alex, a Denver, CO resident, is a guiding force in the realm of kink, particularly renowned for her expertise in sensory play, encompassing everything from delicate exploration to intense dissection. With a fervent dedication to assisting individuals in uncovering novel avenues of pleasure, Alex fosters safe and inclusive spaces within the community. Her leadership extends beyond the kink sphere, where she actively facilitates a trans support group and spearheads Unity Underground, a pioneering initiative dedicated to queer-focused exploration and empowerment. With an approachable demeanor and a fervent dedication to inclusivity, Alex invites connections and inquiries, heralding a future defined by discovery, liberation, and unity.
