Sustainable Solano is a grassroots, countywide movement uniting people through work that aims to serve the future of Solano County, to promote ecologically regenerative, economically and socially just communities in a world that works for everyone. We nurture initiatives for the good of the whole. Sustainable Solano has grown out of decades of dedicated community work that started with community gardens and has grown to include an emphasis on creating sustainable, regenerative environments, community capacity building, supporting local food systems and building youth leadership and workforce skills for a better future.

By composting at home, we can easily take part in this regenerative process and begin the restoration of our soils. Come and learn how to start worm composting at home!This in-person class will cover:<ul><li>benefits and uses of worm compost</li><li>learn to set up a worm bin</li><li>harvesting compost</li><li>best uses for this compost</li></ul>There will be time for Q&amp;AThis class is funded by Republic Services and the Solano County Water AgencyAbout Lori Caldwell:Lori Caldwell is an Alameda County Master Composter, sustainable gardening educator and residential sheet mulch maven. Her mission: “To connect people to the soil and all that it provides”. She has been happily teaching and transforming yards in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2007.*$5-$20 suggested donation to Sustainable Solano. As a small, community-based organization, every little bit helps. Your donations will help support our offerings to the community and give us the ability to add more virtual classes.
