Science is international! Many languages are heard at ICTP: come dive into these exciting multilingual & multi-scientific field discussions

Testo italiano in basso Both a science café and a language exchange, here’s a chance to explore the most recent scientific research and practice another language, through the firsthand experience of researchers from ICTP. This is the idea behind the World Science Café, an event organized by ICTP (International Centre for Theoretical Physics) that will take place on the 5th of Semptember 2020, from 6.30 pm to 10.30 pm, at Caffè Tommaseo.A group of ICTP researchers, representing the multiple fields of science at the institute, will be available to the public to talk about science and answer questions. Every researcher will have stickers showing their field of research but also the languages they speak, such as English, Slovene, Italian, Serbian, French, Croatian, Arabic, Spanish, Russian, German, Arabic, Turkish, Farsi, and Hindi.Come for a multilingual, multi-scientific field aperitivo: a chance to talk about science with professionals of the field while coming to know countries with different cultures and traditions and practicing conversation in another language.

Sia un caffé scientifico che uno scambio linguistico, ecco un&#x27;opportunità per esplorare la ricerca scientifica più recente e praticare un&#x27;altra lingua, attraverso l&#x27;esperienza diretta dei ricercatori dell&#x27;ICTP. Questa è l&#x27;idea alla base del World Science Café, evento organizzato dall&#x27;ICTP (International Center for Theoretical Physics) che si svolgerà il 5 settembre 2020, dalle 18.30 alle 22.30, presso il Caffè Tommaseo. Un gruppo di ricercatori dell&#x27;ICTP, che rappresentano i molteplici campi della scienza dell&#x27;istituto, sarà a disposizione del pubblico per parlare di scienza e rispondere alle domande. Ogni ricercatore avrà adesivi che mostrano il loro campo di ricerca ma anche le lingue che parlano, come inglese, sloveno, italiano, serbo, francese, croato, arabo, spagnolo, russo, tedesco, arabo, turco, farsi e hindi.Ti aspettiamo per un aperitivo multilingue e multi-scientifico: un&#x27;opportunità per parlare di scienza con i professionisti del settore e contemporaneamente conoscere paesi con culture e tradizioni diverse e praticare una lingua straniera divertendosi!
