World Ocean Day Scavenger Hunt!
Summer is almost here, bringing sunshine, sun tans, and an unfortunate increase in litter along our beaches. We need you to help out.
In collaboration with Portland Marina, this beach clean is for everyone, especially children.
Tickets are free - parents, you only need tickets for your children.
Meeting place in the Masonic Car Park at 4pm. Parking is free. Just look out for Roy in his famous faded red hat!
We will supply litter pickers and bags, but we recommend attendees bring their own gloves.
Please also wear appropriate clothing for the day, and bring water and sun protection.
Free of charge to attend, we will spend roughly 45 minutes beach cleaning and ticking off the Scavenger Hunt list, before a special guest turns up to read a story to the children.
Who is this special guest? Well, that's a surprise but we can let you know that she'll be unique and your children will adore her. (Clue: she likes swimming!), there will also be time for a Q&A.
The whole event will be roughly 2 hours.
Please note that we reserve the right to postpone or cancel this event if the weather is too bad.
All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and must stay away from the water.
There will be a short safety briefing before the clean.
