The Open Data Resilience Initiative (OpenDRI) team, members of the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR), are hosting a mapping event in the World Bank Headquarters on Wednesday, November 14 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. The will bring attention to the numerous benefits of using geospatial data in providing solutions to development and disaster risk reduction initiatives.
Organized as part of Geography Awareness Week, the event will exhibit community and crowdsourced mapping initiatives, championed by World Bank teams, and their extensive partners in the mapping community. It will feature short panel discussions, a unique hands-on “mapathon” training experience, and lightning talks from experienced WB colleagues and mapping partners.
