Community Media Access Collaborative (CMAC) is a non-profit organization created to help local residents, schools, organizations, public agencies and others better connect with each other through the use of media. Our mission is to empower community voices by promoting media literacy, civic engagement, cultural understanding, and creative expression.

CMAC Workshops

CMAC offers a variety of media production workshops for Central Valley residents. Most of our workshops are free for CMAC members and a small fee for non-members.

Ever dreamed of producing your own TV show? This hands-on course will teach you the basics of working in a professional television studio. You’ll get to operate cameras, manage audio equipment, set up studio lighting, and use video switchers—everything you need to bring your ideas to life. And the best part? You’ll work alongside CMAC staff to produce a studio talk show, gaining real-world experience in a fun and creative environment.Course Details:Two 3.5-hour sessions (attendance at both is required)Session 1: Tuesday, March 24, 2026, 5:00 PM – 8 PMSession 2: Wednesday, March 25, 2026, 5:00 PM – 8 PMPlease reach out to us if you have any accessibility requests you would like us to be aware of.
