Black women are invited to interact with the exhibition Tatyana Fazlalizadeh: Finding Soft Ground at Art + Practice through a writing and meditation workshop. Led by Asha Grant, founder and owner of The Salt Eaters Bookshop, this workshop will create space for Black women to be seen, celebrated, and held in a safe “homeplace.” Guests will spend time exploring Fazlizadeh’s considerations of the conditions, precarity, and imaginative determination of safety for Black women through journaling, breathwork, and mindfulness. Please bring your own journal. Comfortable clothing recommended.
