WORKSHOP ON INDIGENOUS KNOWLEDGE IN INTEGRAL GLOBAL KNOWLEDGE SYSTEM

We are Ofure-Pax Integral Research and Development Initiative (OFIRDI). We aim to develop distinct Afrocentric research methods and research methodology.

Africa Action Research Community (AARC)

The inaugural workshop of the African Action Research Community (AARC) is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 17th of January 2019. Time 10.00am. Venue: Ofure (Pax) Integral Research and Development Initiative office, Plot 74A, Sir Micheal Otedola Crescent, Off Joel Ogunnaike Street, by Ikeja Country Club, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.
The theme of this small and intensive workshop is: INDIGENOUS KNOWLEDGE IN INTEGRAL GLOBAL KNOWLEDGE SYSTEM: REVISITING AFRICAN ONTOLOGY & EPISTEMOLOGY IN THE 21st CENTURY
The three key papers to be presented are: 1. ‘Decolonizing the African University: Prospects and Challenges’ by Prof. Lanre Olutayo, Of the University of Ibadan.
2. ‘Beyond Wishful Thinking: The Relevance of Community Engagement in African Transformation Agenda’ by Dr. Jimoh Amzat, of Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto
3. ‘Indigenous Knowledge in The Global Knowledge Systems: Revisiting African Ontology and Epistemology in the 21st Century- A perspective’ by Dr. Chris Osahon Eigbike, a Visiting Research Fellow at OFIRDI, Nigeria Alternatively, you can confirm your participation by sending an SMS with your name and affiliation to 08101743273.
