Workshop: Microfluidics

The MNTC is a class 100/1000 $30 million10,000 ft2cleanroom facility with SEM imaging, characterization and packaging capabilities. The Center’s expertise resides in micro and nanotechnology, sensors, transducers, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), advanced materials, biomedical devices, space, and governmental applications. UofL - Micro Nano Technology Center

An introductory workshop that will include fabrication of a silicon and glass based microfluidic device with a demonstration of its fluid flow in the cleanroom at the University of Louisville.  The workshop is open to everyone with little or no fabrication experience, but interested in learning about the type of technology for potential research applications or microfabrication in general. Space is limited!
The workshop will feature:
·      A short lecture on design considerations, the microfabrication process and testing of the final device.
·      Tour of the MNTC Cleanroom.
·      Microfabrication Hands–on experience
·      Device testing
