inkBoat inhabits the interplay of multiple artistic disciplines and viewpoints, drawing primarily from the Japanese performing and martial arts, improvisational arts, and Daoist internal arts. inkBoat stage works border dance, performance art and theater, performing in theaters, museums, streets and abandoned spaces.Founded by Shinichi Iova-Koga in 1998, members are based in San Francisco, Luzern, Paris and Berlin, performing throughout North America, Europe, South Korea and Japan.inkBoat offers classes and workshops for professionals and beginners. Dance on Land by inkBoat, presented by Love the Bulb
October 24-27, 10am-5:30pm
Immerse yourself in the environment of the Albany Bulb, located in the San Francisco Bay Area. In this intensive workshop, led by Shinichi Iova-Koga, develop your sensorial mind and creative responsiveness through rigorous physical and improvisational training rooted in Shinichi's 30+ years of directing and teaching practice, utilizing Noguchi Taiso, Action Theater and Yang Shen Gong exercises. The workshop will end with a public showing at the Albany Bulb. All ages and levels of experience welcome. All that is required is curiosity and the willingness to get some earth on you. 
Part of the workshop will also take place in Western Sky Studio, Berkeley. Time will be split between indoor and outdoor work.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

What can I bring into the event?
Bring layers of clothes (can be warm, can be cold) that can get dirty.
Bring sun hats.
Bring sun screen.
Bring lunch and snacks (for yourself and to share if you like).
Bring water.
Bring minimal shoes or shoes that can function in various environments or... be barefoot.
