VCUarts Qatar is the Qatar campus of the prestigious Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Richmond, Virginia. Established in 1998 through a partnership with Qatar Foundation, we offer students the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in fashion design, graphic design, interior design and painting & printmaking, a Bachelor of Arts degree in art history and a Master of Fine Arts degree in design.

Can we truly draw lines between the human world and the natural world? Can one exist without the other? In this workshop, you will explore how to create and use of digital avatars in Augmented Reality and Motion Capture. Born in Ireland, based in New York, King received a BFA from NCAD, Dublin in 2012 and an MFA from Columbia University New York in 2016, and attended the Skowhegan Residency in 2016. King is a current Creative Science Member at NEW INC, the New Museum&#x27;s art technology incubator program in New York where he is working on ‘Honey Fungus’, a virtual reality film exploring the interconnectedness of human and non-humans through underground fungal networks supported by Science Sandbox, The Simons Foundation and the Irish Arts Council.
