Learn collage techniques with Bas-exhibiting artist Geoffrey Odgers

As part of his Stoic Permanence, Spiritual Joy exhibition, artist Geoffrey Odgers will share insights and tips into how he approaches his collage works.

You'll have the opportunity to participate in hands-on exercises, experiment with colour combinations, and gain practical knowledge that you can apply to your own projects.

In this workshop using supplied templates, participants will:

  • learn the basics of composition - grid and singular pieces
  • understand the importance of contrast including how to distinguish tonal contrasts
  • practice tearing and cutting techniques
  • explore various adhesives.

This workshop is perfect for anyone interested in beginning their foray into collage as well as those looking to develop their techniques.

Saturday Sessions at the Bas are open to adult residents and visitors interested in immersing themselves in a fun and hands-on class. Participants can learn artistic techniques taught by some of Eurobodalla’s most talented artists. No previous experience is necessary.

Spaces are limited, so make sure to secure your spot by registering in advance. We look forward to seeing you at the event!
