The New Jersey Council for the Humanities harnesses the power of the humanities to strengthen our pluralistic society.The vision of NJCH is a New Jersey that delights in diversity, appreciates that there are no easy answers, and finds joy and understanding in the humanities.How is this done?  By enabling public programs and humanities experiences that deepen our understanding of ourselves and our world. NJCH is a grantmaker, program provider, partner, convener, and innovator. New Jersey Council for the Humanities

Are you considering a humanities project that utilizes the power of the arts to explore important questions and connect the community? Or is your arts organization working on a project that includes the public humanities to achieve specific goals that widen the breadth and depth of the effort? If so, you may want to attend this free Arts & Humanities Workshop.
This workshop will help you understand the similarities and differences between the arts and the humanities and explore effective partnerships that have led to rich and nuanced programs for both types of organizations.
Joining NJCH Director of Grants and Programs Gigi Naglak for this workshop is Tammy Herman, Director of Programs and Services with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. Participants will benefit from the combined perspective of both facilitators as they explore the many different ways that arts and humanities can successfully intersect.
All participants are encouraged to review the Grants section of njhumanities.org prior to the workshop and prepare notes or an outline about their potential project.
