Workshop-15:  The Twelve Steps

Take a path to recovery with 15 accelerated, intensive Twelve Step workshop sessions.

<h3>What is “Workshop-15”?</h3><p>It is MAI “shorthand” for the WSO program presented in the Twelve Step Workshop and Study Guide. </p><p>The expected number of sessions to complete the Study is 15, usually over 15 weeks. </p><p>MAI is sponsoring multiples of this workshop to begin in January 2022. </p><p>Each session is limited to 12 participants.  Each participant commits to attend all or most of the 15 sessions.</p><h3>Workshop Book – White or Green?</h3><p>A participant may use either the white Participant Guide or the green Twelve Step Workshop and Study Guide. The green book contains all the instructions needed to lead a workshop or to use the book as a sponsor/sponsee tool or other study plan. The white book does not have all those instructions. Either book may be ordered at oa.org bookstore. </p><h3>Other books?</h3><p>Yes, each participant will need access to 6 other pieces of OA literature that are used as the basis for various sections of the Workshop. </p><h3>The length of weekly sessions...</h3><p>will be determined by the leader and/or by the group. The Guide is set up for 2 hour sessions, with some homework being assigned each week. It is possible to shorten the session length by assigning more homework. </p><h3>Homework? </h3><p>Yes, there is assigned homework which is to be done at home and shared with another member of the workshop group. In the workshop, homework buddies may be assigned. The buddies may rotate so that everyone in the group shares with a different buddy from week to week, if that&#x27;s what the group decides. </p><h3>Autonomy</h3><p>Each workshop group will be autonomous, honoring OA Tradition. Each group will decide how long the sessions will be, how many weeks it will take to complete, and other questions that may come up. </p><h3>Currently there are 5 MAI Workshop-15 Options </h3><p>You can choose from these options, as follows: </p><p>1) Mon, 2 pm, Zoom starting January 24, 2022</p><p>2) Tue, 10 am, In Person (Menomonee Falls) starting January 18, 2022</p><p>3) Sat, 9:30 am, Zoom  starting January 29, 2022</p><p>4) Fri, 7 pm, Zoom  starting January 28, 2022</p><p>5) Sat, 11 am, Hybrid Zoom (West Allis) starting January 22,2022</p><h3>Is there a cost?</h3><p>There will be 7th Tradition taken, as at meetings, with a $5 suggested donation per session. </p><p>There is no registration fee, but the literature must be acquired. </p><p>If a member wants to participate, but cannot afford the literature cost, scholarship funds are available from MAI for intergroup residents: call 414/259-0640 or email your request to convention@oamilwaukee.org . Your home meeting also may have scholarship funds available. </p><h3>Who can participate in Workshop-15?</h3><p>Every OA member within MAI territory is encouraged to participate. </p><h3>How do I register to participate in Workshop-15?</h3><p>Registration is available online here at Eventbrite. Or call 414/259-0640 to register by phone. </p><p>This is a closed workshop for 4 to 12 participants per session.  No new members may join after the Introductory Session.  Participants commit to attend and fully participate in all sessions.</p>
