T﻿aking place during National Workplace Safety Month, and as an enforceable undertaking requirement, Wagga Motors continues to raise awareness and prompt discussion and actions around workplace safety priorities and culture. For three of the five keynote speakers at this event, you will hear of how all their lives changed in 30 seconds due to individual major incidents resulting in a death in a workplace. For Safework month, Wagga Motors is hosting a free event to help raise awareness and the importance of WHS in the workplace.Keynote speakers include: <ul><li>Patrizia Cassaniti, Founder and Director, Touched by Christopher and Let’s Talk about Safety. Based in Sydney, Patrizia is an international award-winning work health and safety advocate. </li></ul><ul><li>Alicia Smith, Assistant State Inspector, Safework NSW. Based in Wagga Wagga, Alicia is the Assistant State Inspector with Safework NSW. Alicia engages with a range of employers across NSW through both proactive interventions as well as in response to workplace incidents and injuries.</li></ul><ul><li>Scott Braid, Dealer Principal, Wagga Motors. Established over 70 years ago, this family business is one of the Riverina’s largest car and truck dealerships, with nine franchises and 100 employees. </li></ul>All three speakers have compelling and confronting life stories. <ul><li>Shaun Lane, Managing Director, Rehabco. An accredited and experienced industry leader in workplace rehabilitation service provision. Shaun will speak on best practice intervention to help achieve positive wellness outcomes.</li></ul><ul><li>Jason Maynard, State Inspector Construction. Jason will present on general responsibilities as an employer.</li></ul>This forum will provide short presentations and question and answer opportunities to the panel.If you are a small business owner in NSW, you may be eligible at the event to also apply for the SafeWork NSW $1,000 small business education activity rebate which is administered by SafeWork NSW on the day.T﻿his event will be recorded.This is a free event with lunch provided – register today.
