Course Description: This intermediate level training starts with the basics of being able to define culture and recognizing basic ethical and cultural dilemmas that naturally arise in rural communities for a clinician in their personal and professional practices. Moving into the more complex relationship of working with and living amongst a diverse socioeconomic status population. This training is a comprehensive in-depth self-reflection, evaluation, personal and professional development and application of skills and resources to work in and live your life in rural communities. Furthermore, participants will be given the opportunity to discuss difficult topics such as: cultural biases, dual relationships, use of pronouns in rural communities, identifying your own intersectionality in personal and professional practices, implicit biases and various other topics. This training offers 4 CEUS to attendees.
