This training applies to both. It explores how autism shapes emotional engagement and attachment patterns and how to adapt EFT interventions when working with autistic clients in couples (EFCT) and individual (EFIT) therapy contexts.

Because clinical material may be presented, this training will not be recorded, and recordings will not be available afterward.

Are APA continuing education credits included in registration?

Registration includes the training only.

Participants who wish to receive APA continuing education credit may purchase CE certificates separately through the Greater Pittsburgh Psychological Association (GPPA) after attending the workshop.

Who is this workshop intended for?

This intermediate-level workshop is designed for: psychologists, licensed therapists, counselors, EFT-trained clinicians.

Participants should have foundational psychotherapy training and familiarity with Emotionally Focused Therapy.

Is this training appropriate for clinicians new to EFT?

Accepted Answer

This workshop assumes familiarity with the EFT model and the Tango.

Clinicians who have completed an ICEEFT EFCT Externship will benefit most from the material presented.

Can I transfer my registration if I cannot attend?

Yes.

What is the refund policy?

Refund requests submitted more than 30 days before the training are eligible for a full refund.

Refund requests submitted between 30 days and 14 days before the training are eligible for a 50% refund.

Refund requests submitted within 14 days of the training are not eligible for refund.

Will APA CE credits count toward my state licensing requirements?

Participants are responsible for confirming with their own licensing board whether APA CE's meet requirements for their specific professional license.

Licensing regulations vary by state, province, and profession. We recommend contacting your licensing board directly if you have questions.

Will I receive a certificate of attendance if I do not purchase APA CE credits?

Participants who attend the workshop live may request a certificate of attendance from Communicate & Connect Counseling if they: attend the training live, sign in and sign out, and request the certificate within 7 days after the event. Requests should be emailed to admin@communicateandconnect.com.

Do I need to have completed an EFT Externship to attend?

This workshop is designed for clinicians who have completed an Emotionally Focused Therapy Externship or who have equivalent familiarity with the EFT model.

Because the training builds on concepts such as the EFT Tango and EFT interventions, prior exposure to EFT is strongly recommended.
