WORK SETS YOU FREE - Screening and Q&A
“WORK SETS YOU FREE.” A short film by Show Me the Body and Asha Efia - a silent visual essay, juxtaposing the architecture of federal prisons in America to that of concentration camps in Europe. All footage was captured on the bands US and European tours respectively, while the film title is taken from the gateway entry at Auschwitz.
There will will be a screening with a directors Q&A following.
The panel will be moderated by Dina Sayedahmed--a New York-based journalist whose work has been published in The Intercept, The New York Times, and The Huffington Post, among others. She currently produces videos at The Intercept and Mehdi Hasan’s Deconstructed podcast.
