This course prepares students for proficient WordPress content editors capable of creating, managing, and maintaining professional websites!

WordPress Certified Editor

This course prepares students to become proficient WordPress content editors capable of creating, managing, and maintaining professional websites. Students learn how to work within the WordPress dashboard to publish and update pages and posts, manage media, apply themes, and use plugins to extend site functionality—without needing to code.

Emphasis is placed on content strategy, accessibility, usability, and best practices for real-world website management. Students will also learn basic site security, SEO fundamentals, and workflow collaboration skills commonly expected in professional and educational environments.

By the end of the course, students will be prepared to earn the WordPress Certified Editor credential and confidently manage content for blogs, business websites, and organizational sites.

Key topics include:

  • WordPress dashboard navigation
  • Pages vs. posts and content organization
  • Media management and accessibility
  • Theme customization and block editor usage
  • Plugin usage and site enhancements
  • SEO basics and content optimization
  • Website maintenance and best practices

This 8 Week course will run from August 18th- October 8th

Classes are scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday from 6-9 pm
