This comedy night is an intersectional attempt by a Queer POC producer herself to pass the mic & expand the vibrant, diverse international comedy scene in Berlin even further and create a safe, inclusive, accessible and a fun stage for BIPOC and/or Queer artists with different comedy styles. It is also a space to experiment and play with different genres of comedy like - musical comedy, improv comedy, storytelling comedy, sketch comedy, satire and stand up comedy to name a few.

This show, we are thrilled to have an ALL TRANS COMEDIANS LINEUP. Stay tuned for more details coming soon.

The event is hosted by Berlin based, internationally touring and independent standup comedian Anshita Koul from India.

Anshita Koul(she/they) is also the co-founder of Clit Comedy Club and Festrogen Comedy Festival in Luxembourg. When she is not touring, they are performing, headlining, hosting and producing two monthly comedy shows in Berlin namely Comedy Bazaar Berlin and Word On The Street. She also teaches virtual and in-person joke writing workshops for individuals and organizations. Anshita made their debut in the standup world from the Indian reality TV show Queens of Comedy 2017, which was also available on Netflix but only for ~2 years for which she is eternally grateful because no comedian wants their first time on stage to be aired on Netflix. Recently, they were seen opening the Funny Women Stage Awards 2022 in the UK as one of the only comedians from Europe who made it to the finals.Anshita is a polyglot comedian and has 3 standup solos under her belt in Hindi and English and is currently on tour with their solo hour in English LITTLE TOO MUCH that they were invited to perform at Copenhagen Pride Stage 2023 and that also get a press mention in The Leipzig Glocal - https://leipglo.com/2023/04/15/little-too-much-fighting-the-patriarchy-with-laughter/37, Indian, Queer, Married, Childfree by choice and an international standup comedian by profession– Anshita is a poster child for everything Heteronormative Patriarchy hates, but don’t worry kids, she hates it back way more. A software engineer turned hardware international comedian, Anshita has created a name for themselves in the English comedy scene in Europe with their political satires, punch up routines and a funny itch to decolonise standup comedy.
