Create a charming sheep scene in this playful workshop using fabric, wool, and alpaca. Go home with art — no two alike!

Wool & Whimsy: Sew Your Sheep Scene! Workshop

Come join us for a fun and creative workshop where you can learn how to sew your very own sheep scene. This in-person event will be held in Free Radical Fiber Arts' Studio 176 at 2511 Essex Pl. All materials provided so bring your enthusiasm and we'll provide the rest!

For this hand-sewing project, basic stitching skills (like joining fabric pieces) are recommended.

In this creative and playful workshop, you’ll bring a charming sheep scene to life — layering fabric, fiber, and imagination into a piece ready to frame. Using a combination of piecing, appliqué, and quilting techniques, you’ll design an 8"x10" fiber art scene (with a 5"x7" mat opening) that’s perfect to display at home or give as a heartfelt gift.

Your woolly sheep will take shape with a felt head, legs, and tail, plus a fluffy body made from homespun art yarn or colorful locks. The sun will radiate with hand-dyed locks of Suri alpaca or sheep's wool, adding vibrant texture and color to your scene.

This workshop is designed for all levels — beginners welcome! I’ll provide everything you need: stabilizers, fabric, felt, fusible web adhesive, handspun yarn, and those luscious hand-dyed locks. You’ll leave with a finished fiber art piece, ready to slip into a standard frame with a mat.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to unleash your inner artist and create a unique piece of fiber art!
