Woofie's® of Lutz, Florida, Launches Premier Pet Care Services

Woofie’s of Lutz, serving Carrollwood, Lutz, and New Tampa areas, is now offering premier pet care services for dogs, cats, birds, lizards, and other animals. It will celebrate its official launch at a grand opening event designed to benefit animal rescue.

WHAT and WHEN:

Woofie’s will celebrate its launch on June 9, 2024, Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Woofie’s will offer free nail trims to the first 10 attendees to arrive and 20% off certificates to clients who pre-book services (as time and supplies allow). It will also be free to sign up for a WoofPack loyalty program with upgrades from their partners throughout the year.

Games will be available for attendees to play, and Woofie’s will provide wash ’n go baths, nail trims, ear cleaning, healthy breath bundles, and monthly specials at discounted prices during the event, while time and supplies permit.

Woofie’s will donate 100% of the event proceeds to participating animal rescues.

WHO:
The new Woofie’s franchise is independently owned and operated by local business and life partners Travis Meyerhoff and Kristi Wimmert, both of whom have been life-long residents of the local area.

Woofie’s pet services comprise a wide range of services including pet sitting, dog walking, mobile pet spa, and other personalized services for area pet owners who need an extra helping hand or want to pamper their pets. Woofie’s recently also joined forces with The Pet Vet Connection LLC to deliver 24/7 vet telehealth services for clients’ pets.

Travis and Kristi are passionate about pet care. Travis is Fear Free certified and incorporates these techniques into staff training at Woofie’s of Lutz. Together, Travis and Kristi have four dogs, three cats, and they also often foster puppies.

“We’re the crazy people you see running across three lanes of traffic to save a turtle, a kitten in the road in the middle of a storm, or to go catch a bird, whose beak is held closed by a net it got stuck in. Our desire for the comfort and safety of all animals drives us to do what we do every day,” says Travis.

As previous owners of Scoopin’ Doody, a pet waste removal business, they decided to go into the pet grooming and care business because of their desire for one-on-one, personalized care. After assessing several different franchise options, they selected Woofie’s due to its culture, philosophy, and successful track record.

“We realized that our commitment to pets extended far beyond just a clean yard. We wanted what we do every day to directly benefit the comfort of pets and provide peace of mind for their pet parents. This led us to expand into pet grooming, dog walking and pet sitting, where we can make a more significant, loving impact on the lives of pets and their families every day,” says Travis, who was the COO and CFO of a multi-specialty, multi-location medical practice located in Tampa prior to getting into the pet care industry. “Woofie’s established technology systems and efficient processes meant less time focusing on administrative tasks and more time focusing on what’s most important, our clients and their pet parents!”

Kristi adds, “Most importantly, we love connecting with our community, and the emphasis on community engagement fits with our own values. We are excited to launch and serve our community with reliable pet care they can count on.”
