Woodworking Basics For Women with Sarah!

Here's your chance to show everyone that woodworking is universal and can be fun and educational as well. Come join Sarah as she shows you that women can be great woodworkers too! Learn all the safety and basics of woodworking in this women-only class. This class takes you through the woodshop and lets you put your hands on every tool that you could need to use while woodworking and you will leave with a woodworking project. The emphasis will be on safety and on becoming comfortable using power tools such as the Table Saw, Band Saw, Jointer, Router, Sander, Planer, and Dust Collection. While using these tools you will make a laminated cutting board that you will be proud to take home! If you have been looking for a BEGINNING WOODWORKING BOOT CAMP class, look no further... this is the class for you! This is a hands on class so be ready to have some fun. Completion of this course will prepare you to move on to more advanced projects. This is a comprehensive 6 hour class with a 30 minute lunch break. All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions Apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases.
