Can my child participate?

Only under the direct supervision of a legal guardian. We do not recommend the class for anyone under 14.

Can I take the class if I have never used a tool before?

Yes! The class is structured for beginners. Experts are welcome to attend, but the pace will be a little slow for them.

Because bats are cool. Also, this design allows us to use many different tools from the Making Awesome woodshop.

What tools will we use?

Your experience may vary, but typically we use the following: hand-held circular saw, table saw, chop box (miter saw), drill press, jig saw, band saw, scroll saw, and a pneumatic brad nailer.

How big is the bat box, and do we get to keep it?

Yes, the class fee covers your material cost, and you get to take home your project. the main body of the bat box is approximately 26" x 24" x 3" (the roof overhang makes the measurements actually 26"x26"x6")
