Jamie Marrisett- Senior Designer- Phoenix Building Components

Is a senior designer with Phoenix Building Components with a specialization in Mid-rise construction. Graduating as an Architectural Technician through Georgian College, Jamie has amassed over 15 years of experience, with a decade specially dedicated to the wood truss sector.

Tyler Smith -Senior Designer- Phoenix Building Components

Is a Senior Designer with Phoenix Building Components for just over 3 years where Tyler has designed everything from a garage to a multi unit building. Tyler started with Phoenix while finishing his final year at Canadore College as a Civil Engineer Technician.

Jessica Ramsden-Intermediate Designer- Phoenix Building Components
Jessica is an intermediate designer at Phoenix Building Components. Having six years of experience in the wood truss industry and previous involvement in building design, Jessica bring a unique blend of skills to the table. Although she has a background in nursing for over a decade, through her passion for eco-friendly design, motivated to reducing our environmental footprint and promoting sustainability with every project. Ambitious and eager to learn, Jessica thrive on challenges and opportunities for growth within the field.

Katy Ransom- Junior Designer - Phoenix Building Components

Since 2020, Katy has been an Administrative Assistant and Junior Designer at Phoenix Building Components. Katy discovered a profound passion for the intricacies of design within the realm of structural engineering. With over 15 years experience in AutoCAD and 3-D modeling, she has seamlessly integrated into a dual role that merges administrative prowess with creative design solutions. This transition has not only crafted a new avenue within the company, but also ignited a thrilling trajectory that she is eagerly pursuing.

The Simcoe County Education Committee team will forward the formal calendar invite and link for the event closer to the day of the event.

If I can't make it, will the event be recorded to watch later?

At this time, the event is not planned to be recorded and will only be provided in a live and on-line only.
