Wonders of the Wild: 3D Design, Minecraft Worldbuilding, Drone Pilot School

Class Experience

We’re learning how to protect animals and wildlife habitats. We’ll craft and press hands-on exotic flowers into keepsake journals, create ecosystem cleaning creatures, and animate mood and vision boards (b), and draw and animate our own spirit-animal family crests.We’ll choose the national parks we want to protect (and even plan a new one) with Minecraft and then craft mini-ecosystems with precious water systems and species, old growth forests, exploring piping hot geysers, and miles-long mushrooms! We’ll go to Drone Pilot School and take on park ranger missions like fire prevention, new species research, and search and rescue missions. We’ll craft exotic bird feeders, 3D design insects and animals with habitat-adapting mutations, create our own adventure pet partners with Tinkercad and Roblox, and drone basket rigs to rescue them. Let’s get creative and discover the wonders of the wild!

All About Hands-On

Every day of STEM Camp brings new hands-on STEAM projects, creativity, discovery, games, and lots of outdoor play! Every week of STEM Camp features hands-on STEAM crafts and introductions/skill-building in Scratch coding and 3D design. Games include: Capture the Flag Laser Tag, Water Balloon Olympics, soccer shootout, mafia, escape the room, red light green light, Scavenger Hunts!

Your Favorite Characters & Stories

We’ll create daily projects inspired by our favorite characters and stories from Disney, Lego, Marvel, and Pixar and games like Pokemon, Mario, Bed Wars, Geometry Dash, Animal Crossing, and Among Us. And we’ll create lifetime memories with our daily camp traditions like DJ Playlist Day, Rainbow True Colors Day, and Hero Day.

Earn Badges & Challenge Coins

We’ll take on daily Quest Challenges by joining Team Fiero or Team Flow, seeking our personal best, with help from new friends. We’ll work on the hero within as we earn Challenge sticker badge achievements for our Character Cards for every project we create like Courage, Problem Solver, Upstander and Changemaker.

Learn & Grow

Creative collaboration gives us opportunities for social emotional development and confidence building. Project problem-solving helps us practice executive functioning skills like decision-making, organization, patience, and self-awareness. (STEAM: science, tech, engineering, arts, math)

Projects Include:

3D Printer Pen: Hand-draw and build 3D printed designs of all kinds of cells with the 3D pen and compare them to how they are in real life.

Clay Art: Create our own clay art, new animal species that you’ll design based on your own research, characters and inventions.

Drone Pilot School: Go to Drone Pilot School and take on park ranger missions like fire prevention, new species research, and search and rescue.

Hands-on Art: Create clay sculptures, characters, animations, paintings, murals, digital and physical graphic artworks.

Hands-on Creativity: Get your engineering creativity going with hands-on projects!

Minecraft Engineering & Inventions: Explore and analyze different ecosystems and find ways to design more sustainable communities!

Piskel Animation: Make your own amazing 8-bit characters and mods on a frame by frame animations with Piskel to use on your school projects, as Sprites for your Scratch projects, gift cards. The chances are infinite!

Roblox Worldbuilding: You will design and create new worlds that can host new life forms.
