The Wonders of a 4-H Summer is a program designed to give kids fun, educational, hands-on learning experiences while making friends. A child can attend one Wonder of a 4-H Summer Day or all of the Wonder of Summer Days. The location varies depending on the experience. These days are geared for youth age 8-13. Come and have FUN with 4-H! Email Barbara Barga at bbarga@umd.edu for additional information. Space is limited to 15 youth. These programs fill up quickly. Don't wait to register!

June 18, 2024- The 4-H Wonders o Marine Science at the Sinepuxent Bay-Location: The Sarbanes Center on Assateaque Island. (9:00 am-3:00pm) Cost $19.00, Youth age 8-13
Discover the wonders of water and the watershed at the Sinepuxent Bay. We will be wading and seining in the bay. We will do a dissection and make coastal craft. Pack a lunch and prepare for FUN! Bring your super soaker and water shoes.

Join us for a fun filled day exploring the Pocomoke River, fishing, learning about the envinment and the local animals that live at Shad Landing. We will be creating special fair quality pieces to include Squirrel Feeders and more. Pack a lunch and a super soaker. Bring a change of clothes
June 26, 2024- The 4-H Wonders of Assateaque Island . Location: The Sarbanes Center on Assateaque Island. (9:00am-3:00pm) Cost $19.00 Youth age 8-13
Learn about Assateaque Island and its' natural wonders. We will explore the natural beauty of the island, learn about the creatures in the bay and create beautiful natural keepsakes. Bring a change of clothes, water shoes, pack a lunch and don't forget your super soaker.
July 9th and 10th, 2024- The 4-H Wonders of Food and Fiber at the Snow Hill Fire Department-4718 Snow Hill Rd. Snow Hill, MD. (9:00am-3:00pm) Cost $40.00 Youth age 8-13
Make it, Bake it and Take it! Kids will bring home yummy baked goods that they can share with their families. We will be creating fair quality items you can show in the Worcester County Fair. Try your hand at constructing a kitchen item. Learn how to make a table decoration. Learn about mosaics. You will take home a homemade pie and baked goods. This two day adventure will be packed with creativity and fun! Pack a lunch and be ready to explore your creative side!
July 15, 2024-The 4-H Wonders of STEAM! (Location The Berlin Library) (9:00 am-3:00pm) Cost $19.00 Youth age 8-13
What is so amazing about science? Create cool things scientifically. You will take things home that you make that are science experiments. Explore your creative side like you never have before! These projects are fair quality. We will be learning about electricity, chemistry and more. Come, play with us. Pack a lunch!
