Their stories and advice will provide valuable guidance on how to address biases against women in professional settings, along with providing empowering strategies for positive change.

Faatima Khan, Head of DEI and Community Engagement - WPS Health Solutions

Faatima Khan currently serves as the Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Community Engagement at WPS Health Solutions. In this capacity, she spearheads all DEI efforts, with a focus on nurturing an environment of inclusivity and equity that promotes a sense of belonging among all members. Driven by her passion for culture work, Faatima unites her community by building meaningful relationships and challenging issues of inequity to create social change. Throughout her career, Faatima has been deeply involved in community initiatives and programming, most notably through her work with low-income Latinx and ESL adults at Centro Hispano, her various roles at United Way fighting for the education, financial stability, and health of everyone in Dane County, and her commitment to increasing access to culturally competent care for historically underrepresented and underserved communities at Agrace.

Jennifer Mirus, Labor & Employment Law Attorney - Boardman Clark

Jennifer Mirus has been an employment lawyer with Boardman Clark LLP in Madison, Wisconsin for over 28 years. Jennifer was elected the first female Chairperson of the Firm’s Executive Committee in 2023 and serves as Chairperson of the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group. Jennifer has extensive experience representing employers in all aspects of employment relations, including wage and hour issues, discrimination, Family and Medical Leave, ADA, reductions in force, harassment, hiring, discipline and terminations. Jennifer conducts workplace investigations and trainings for workplaces of all sizes.

Michelle is a seasoned Human Resource leader with thirty years of experience across biotech, telecommunications, and SaaS industries. Her experience spans management, orgainizational design, employee relations, leadership development, training and coaching. Michelle provides HR consulting and coaching for individual contributors who are transitioning into management through her firm, BioHR Consulting.
