“One of the most beautiful sounds that I have ever heard is the sound of a beautiful, strong woman’s voice once she has discovered her true worth. She sounds empowered… she sounds confident… but most of all… she sounds free.” -Unknown
We are pleased to host the second, annual women’s retreat focusing entirely on the unique strengths and challenges of being a woman in recovery.Recovery is a continuous journey and offers the opportunity for ongoing exploration and growth of self. Finding authenticity can be a cornerstone of renewal regardless of where you are on the journey. This year, our central session, led by Dr. Camille St James, Psy.D. and Corey Trevena [links], will explore finding purpose in our lives. We will ask ourselves questions like “Who do I want to be in recovery”, “What brings me joy?”, and “What are my intentions”. Later, the work will continue through experiential activities, tending to our physical and spiritual health with grounding work through meditation and breathe and our cognitive health through expressive arts.
Retreat highlights include:
- Lunch and fellowship
- Finding purpose in recovery
- Meditation, breathwork and the "Art of Journaling"
- Conversations and fellowship with Caron Women
