Shelley Armstrong, Executive Director at the Launch Pad, will be speaking to us about Marketing, Fundraising, and Development in Nonprofits!
MEET SHELLEY:
After a well-rounded background in nonprofit fundraising and management over the past 32 years, Shelley became the ED in November 2022. She served as director of Income and later, senior regional director at the American Heart Association in Chattanooga. She then became director of Special Events and Major Gifts at the Chattanooga Food Bank, where she exceeded fiscal year goals by nearly 150 percent.
Snacks and drinks will be available and you are welcome to bring your own lunch.
ENTERING THE FACILITY -> The Nonprofit Resource Center is located in the Midtown Office Park in the Eastgate Shopping Center area. There is a Starbucks on the corner of Brainerd Rd. and Eastgate Loop. If you turn into Eastgate Loop at that Starbucks, you’ll proceed past the Brainerd Mission Cemetery on your left and the next street you’ll come to is Uptain Road. Turn left onto Uptain and go to the stop sign. At the stop sign and slightly to your left at about the 11 0’clock position, you’ll see a sign for the City of Chattanooga, Midtown Campus. The Nonprofit Resource Center is located in the same building as the City but nearly to the other end of that building. Proceed through the stop sign, turn left into that parking lot and then right to head down toward the opposite end from the City. Our rooftop signage is not yet up so it will be hard to locate us from the street. We’re in the suite located to the left of Stubbs as you’re facing the building.
