Learn about the history of marriage, and what family history resources are available to you to undertake your own research at this fully catered workshop, held in conjunction with the current exhibition, Here comes the bride, which celebrates and explores the beauty, symbolism and meanings of the bridal outfit (Exhibition dates 10 February – 26 March). On show will be some stunning dresses, going-away outfits and accessories from the Darnell Collection and Hawkesbury Regional Museum, alongside contemporary artwork.
The session will be presented by Hawkesbury Community History Librarian, Michelle Nichols OAM. A delicous light lunch in included in the ticket price. Please contact the gallery with any special dietary requirements.
