WISC Evolution
The Past, the Present, and the Future of where Technology and Supply Chain have evolved, or has it?
The Past, the Present, and the Future of where Technology and Supply Chain have evolved, or has it?
The Women in Supply Chain Association is proud to introduce the inaugural WISC Evolution event on Tuesday, April 21st, at the Earl Grey Golf and Country Club.
This event builds on the foundation of the WISC Virtual Tech Tuesdays and brings the conversation into a live, in-person environment where industry, business, and community voices come together to address one critical question:
Are we truly implementing technology in a way that serves our businesses, our people, and our long-term economic goals?
WISC Evolution is designed to challenge assumptions and create clarity. This is not a surface-level discussion on AI or digital transformation. It is a direct and necessary conversation about where we stand today across Calgary, Alberta, and Canada.
We will explore:
• Whether technology adoption is being meaningfully implemented or passively discussed
• Where resistance, gaps in understanding, and missed opportunities exist
• What business owners and leaders must evaluate before adopting new technologies
• Whether organizations are structurally ready for AI, including data readiness and system capability
• How Canada compares globally, with AI adoption currently at approximately 13 percent versus over 35 percent in competing markets
This is about moving beyond uncertainty and into informed action.
The conversation will also extend into the broader realities that impact technology adoption:
• Infrastructure and connectivity across Canada
• Energy capacity and grid readiness
• Capital availability and cost considerations
• The intersection of technology with every industry within the supply chain ecosystem
Supply chain is not a single sector. It is every industry, every role, and every level of business. WISC Evolution reflects that reality.
This event is a starting point for a much larger and ongoing dialogue. One that will continue until individuals, businesses, and communities are positioned to compete, adapt, and lead.
