Trail expectations:
Weather permitting...
We will stick to mostly blue trails for experienced and some green trails for those in stock 4x4s. Blue trails at Windrock are moderate trails that have challenging moments but are doable with proper spotting and following minimum rig requirements. If snow is on the ground black trails will be out of the question and will be run at your on risk. No captain support on black trails if snow is on the ground.
Rig requirements:
Green trails-We will run trails for non lifted rigs (all terrain tires, GMRS comms, recovery kit /recovery points still recommend). Experienced trail captains will be there for you.
Blue trails - Recommend 32" all terrains, 2" lift, recovery kit, recovery points, and GMRS communications is a minimum requirement to avoid the risk of damage and ensure a smooth time.
Recommended but NOT required is to have a winch, skids, sliders, armored bumpers, and mud terrains.
Black trails - are for experienced drivers only. Must have 3"lift, armor, sliders, lockers, winch, and minimum 35s (do not attempt if snow)
Communication:
We typically use both GMRS and HAM radios.
Hard mounts are great because of not having to worry about batteries dying and handhelds are great for when we are out of the rig and doing things like spotting.
BRING TWO GMRS RADIOS so when one dies you have one charged!
Volunteers:
If interested in volunteering in any way or would like to a capitain, mid captain, or tailgunner position please reach out to Sean at ventureunknown4x4@gmail.com
Swag:
We will have Venture Unknown swag for sale at this event.
Shirts and stickers (limited supply)
