Join Metro arborist Howard Rasmussen for a two-hour classroom session at <A HREF="https://www.oregonmetro.gov/parks/cooper-mountain-nature-park" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Cooper Mountain Nature Park</A> on the many aspects of pruning tress in the winter. Emphasis will be placed on fruit trees, but the basic principles apply to ornamental and wilderness trees. Subjects will include safety, tools, terminology, desired outcomes and how to get there. Meet at the Nature House. This event is wheelchair-accessible.
Cost: $10/person. 
Ages: 16 and older.
Difficulty: easy.
Advanced registration is required. Class size is limited to 15.

Pets can damage sensitive habitat and threaten wildlife the region has worked to protect. In natural areas where dogs are not allowed, people see more wildlife and get closer to it. Seeing-eye dogs or other service animals are allowed. Please bring cleanup materials.
