Sakina Ibrahim is a woman who knows the value she brings to the table and is not afraid to show it. Specializing in Arts Education, Diversity, Inclusion, and Equality. An entrepreneur at heart, Sakina has stepped out and started a wellness company called "Stretch and Pray."  She is also the CEO of Non-Profit Global Girl- Providing arts and literacy for abled and disabled children. Sakina continues to expand her passion for the arts, creativity and healing nationally through classes, workshops, speaking engagements, and film.

A 3-day winter intensive focused on dance technique and strengthening cultural understanding of Ballet, Modern, Jazz and Hip-hop dance. All Levels Ages 8 plusMeet the InstructorSakina Ibrahim, holds an MFA from the University of California, Irvine. She received an NAACP Image Award-nominated for her first book titled Big Words to Little Me: Advice for the younger self. Her performance credits include Jill Scott, Rennie Harris RHAW, Beauty Shop starring Tiffany Haddish, Bayside the Musical, The Harlem Arts Festival, Creed 2, Silver linings Playbook and more. Sakina was the choreographer for the two-time Rose d&#x27;Or award-winning film Young@Heart, which was listed as a Top 50 documentary and streamed on Netflix and PBS. Sakina has studied with Dance Masters at Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, Bates Dance Festival, Broadway Dance Center, and the Dagbe Cultural Arts Center in Ghana. Sakina has served as the Rehearsal Assistant to the Late Legendary Choreographer Donald McKayle and worked closely as the Assistant to Hollywood Creative Director/Choreographer Anthony Burrell (Mariah Carey and Beyonce). Sakina&#x27;s work over the last decade has been centered in exploring Black Dance traditions and inter-generational dance education. She has worked for institutions such as The Dance Theater of Harlem, Mark Morris Dance Center, Segerstrom Center for the Arts, Cal State Long Beach and more.
