The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at Winona State University invite area middle-school and high-school math teachers to our inaugural Modeling, Inquiry, and Problem Solving Workshop. The purpose of this workshop is to provide discipline-specific professional develop opportunities in mathematics to teachers throughout our geographic region.

Faculty from the Math & Statistics Department at WSU will lead a variety of breakout sessions that will run in parallel throughout the morning and early afternoon. Session topics include: incorporating inquiry-based and problem-solving strategies into the teaching of mathematics, teaching mathematics through modeling, approaches to introduce data science / analytics topics into existing mathematics curriculum.
