The Office of Business Opportunities is committed to supporting initiatives that benefit small, women and minority owned businesses in the City of Columbia.  This objective is accomplished by providing creative financiing, technical assistance and eduction to build the capacity of these businesses. The office has three divisions: (1) Commercial Lending; (2) Technical Assistance, Education and Advocacy; and (3) Contractor and Supplier Diversity.

During that ten year period, she has activelyworked on each individual governance committee alongside her peers.Simultaneously, Dr. Ashlye earned a Ph.D. in Teaching and Learning at the Universityof South Carolina. Additionally, she also earned two professional certifications fromCornell University in Executive Leadership and Servant Leadership.Dr. Ashlye is passionate about personal and professional performance and haspersonally completed over ten leadership development programs to further honeher skillset. She actively serves her community and has contributed her time andtalents to over a dozen boards, councils, and committees. Bringing her wealth of knowledge and experience, along with her commitment forservice, Dr. Ashlye will provide relevant services to further prepare and develop yourboard, team, and/or staff. Key areas of focus will include leadership development,goal setting, conflict resolution, vision casting, and governance roles.
