Wings over Water Gardens Tour Summer 2024

The Water Garden Society of Greater Kansas City presents our 31st Anniversary Water Garden Tour. “Wings over Waters Gardens” is the theme of the summer 2024 tour. The Greater KC Water Garden Society will celebrate our tour on four Saturdays in July and August. The Tour Committee is pulling out all the stops to make the 31st Anniversary Tour unforgettable!.

Tour hours are 9 am to 5 pm each Saturday, rain or shine.

Every year the WGS hosts a water garden tour for the general public. 2024 marks our 31st annual tour. The theme for 2024 is “Wings over Water Gardens”.

Ticket sales for the public tour constitute our largest yearly fundraising effort. WGS members from throughout the metro participate; typically, about 750 non-members attend. In 2024 the tour will be conducted as a series of single Saturday tours, each featuring water gardens in a specific part of the KC metro. Gardens on tour will be open 9am to 5pm.

The WGS uses funds raised by the tour to support our public service activities, principally including

- Fish & plant rescues (by re-homing unwanted fish, the WGS prevents them from being released into local lakes)

- Building & maintaining water features at metro-area schools & other public spaces

- Providing speakers knowledgeable about water garden topics for local organizations
