Sauvignon Blanc is a white varietal that for many people is heavily associated with New Zealand, as you can see reflected on many wine lists in restaurants around town. A crisp, juicy white wine like Sauvignon Blanc is especially in demand on summer days. But what some may not know is that the varietal's true home is in the Loire Valley of France, and the differences in terroir between New Zealand and France produce quite different results from the same grape.
