William Clark Green is coming to Lazy Gators on Friday, August 15th! Don't miss it, tickets are now on sale!
William Clark Green is a Texas-born singer-songwriter known for his raw, honest songwriting and electrifying live shows.
With over 15 years of storytelling through song, the Flint, Texas native has built a reputation that transcends state lines, combining a love for tradition with a fearless drive to evolve. His band is as road-tested as they come, and together they create a sound that blends emotion and authenticity. He’s all grit, all true, and all out there.
Green has become known for delivering high-energy, unapologetic performances that connect deeply with fans, as witnessed on his three live albums. Whether performing a heart-wrenching ballad or a foot-stomping anthem, his live shows are a testament to his commitment to his craft. Rooted in the proud Texas country scene, he honed his skills in Lubbock’s live music circuit, but his sound and storytelling have taken him far beyond those borders. His sandpaper vocals and dynamic mix of back-alley grit and gravel-road grace make each song an unflinching portrait of life’s struggles and triumphs, often delivered with sardonic wit and heartfelt honesty.
The songs on his six studio albums draw inspiration from roots rock, Western balladry, and even orchestral strings, and Green continues to push boundaries while staying true to his signature style. Beyond his solo career, he’s also a member of The Panhandlers alongside Josh Abbott, John Baumann, and Cleto Cordero (of Flatland Cavalry), collaborating with some of today’s best songwriters. With a growing national presence, he’s carving out a space that’s entirely his own.
