About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

Did you know that there are some plants right here in Middle Tennessee that occur nowhere else on the planet? That’s because the ecosystem that supports them, the Cedar Glade, is found almost nowhere else.

Come join us for a leisurely stroll of a mile or so as we have the opportunity to see one of the most prestine remaining cedar glades and learn what exactly makes it so special. While this is an interesting area to explore year round, the famous Tennessee Coneflower will be in full bloom in June. In addition, many other flowering species will be showing their stuff, some of which are incredibly rare in nature.

We will meet at the small parking lot before it gets too hot. The walk is roughly an hour, depending on how much stop to smell the roses.
