Wildflower Walk
Discover spring flowers in bloom and enjoy beautiful views of the St. Johns River!
Spring is almost here and the flowers are blooming! The Volusia County Explore Volusia program invites you to join Environmental Specialist Tommy Nordmann on a 1.5-mile hike through Hickory Bluff Preserve and discover flowers native to Volusia County.
** Important note: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to complete a waiver. Waivers must be completed in full to participate in the program. Waivers can be downloaded at Explore Volusia and completed ahead of time.

ACTIVITY: This will be a moderate 1.5-mile hike.
RESERVATIONS: Required. Unless you have a confirmation email, you are not registered.
TICKETS: No printed ticket is necessary.
AGES: Ages eight and up are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
ATTIRE: closed-toe shoes that can get muddy and wet, comfortable clothing for the outdoors
** Some of our trails have mud and/or standing water because they are located in wetland ecosystems and because of seasonal rains and high tides. We recommend you bring a pair of waterproof boots in addition to your regular hiking shoes if you don't want your shoes to get wet. Our hike leader will let you know the condition of the trails prior to the start of the hike.
WHAT TO BRING: water, bug spray, sunscreen
FACILITIES: There is a port-a-let on site but no running water.
