The Wild Turkey Distillery is a subsidiary of the Campari Group and is located in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. In 1891, Thomas Ripy the founder of Wild Turkey built his Old Hickory Distillery near its present site on the former location of the Old Moore Distillery. In 1933 after Prohibition ended, the Ripy family repaired the distillery and began to again produce bourbon. The Ripys sold the bourbon produced at this distillery to various wholesalers including Austin Nichol who bottled bourbon under their own brands including Wild Turkey.
