Yoga + Plant Based Diet Talk & Demo + Trail Walk + Farm Tour + Meditation
Located in the countryside an easy 40 minutes from downtown Charlotte, Wild Hope Farm is the perfect getaway for a day centered around intentional living. This retreat is designed to help you relax, rejuvenate, and reconnect more deeply to yourself and to the beautiful nature that surrounds us. At the farm, you will find yourself strolling around our wooded trails, picturesque silos, rolling pastures lined with old oak trees and 10-acre pond. The one day session includes the following:
- 11:00 am : Arrival, introductions, welcome by the farmhouse - green juices provided
- 11:30 - 12:30 pm : Yoga by the pond led by Tarra Dahlke* (bring your own mat or use one of our free mats)
- 12:45 - 1:45 pm : Plant based nutrition food talk with a demo luncheon by Edwina Willis-Fleming
- 2 - 3 pm : Trail walk & greenhouse tour with Farmer Peanut
- 3:15 - 4 pm : Start Where You Are guided meditation by Mary Powers**
- 4:15 - Bonfire and cocktail / Lenny Boy kombucha on deck, light appetizers provided
This intimate gathering is for men & women of all ages, stages, backgrounds, and abilities.
Please wear clothing comfortable for yoga, an extra outer layer, and sneakers for walking the trail.
The cost of the event covers food, amenities, provisions, and provides a stipend for your instructors. If you feel compelled, please bring cash or a check to tip your teachers.
* Tarra Dahkle: completed her 200 RYT Training with Grace Morales in Charlotte, NC during 2015 and has since completed additional intensives with Irene Pappas, Daniel Rama, Patrick Beach, Steph Gongora, Erin Kelly, Carson Clay Calhoun, Adam Whiting, Jaimis Huff Flynn & Jennifer Busco. She currently teaches weekly Hot Power Vinyasa classes at Charlotte Yoga in North Carolina and at local breweries around town. She is leading her first ever retreat in Mexico next February, which has been a dream of hers for a long time. ** Mary Powers, E-RYT 500 devoured yoga & meditation in 1997 as the remedy for an award-winning corporate design career…that came with a side of health crisis. Fast forward 10 years and find Mary credentialing at the 500-hour Professional Level at Kripalu Yoga Center, and proceeding to add Restorative Certification (Judith Lasater), Yoga Nidra (Richard Miller), I-Rest (Richard Miller), Yin (Sarah Powers), Pranayama (Yoganand Michael Caroll & Paul Ortega). She currently offers (or has offered) these methods of meditation & yoga for over a decade at Yoga for Life/Centered Wellness, The Crown Club, The Cornwell Center, Charlotte Center for Mindfulness, Group Corporate Classes, and Individual Private lessons.
