About this event
Meet at Broompark Picnic Area , DH7 7RJ (follow signs for 'Railway Path')
We will begin our walk to Abundant Earth at 1pm.
This is a day for you to explore, discover and connect with the land and the seasons. Whether you’re into socialising or need some time to unwind in nature, there’s something for everyone. Our aim is that these sessions support you to find a deeper sense of yourself and your own direction through adolescence.
With fun and hands on activities for you to explore:
🔥Bushcraft and survival skills
🦅Nature crafts and creative stuff
🧘Nature connection and how the outdoors can help you feel good
🧭Permaculture design – helping us shape future sessions as well as inspiring our own individual projects and goals.
📖 Nature Journaling - this can both be prompted ideas as well as your own creative input, through words, images, plant pressing and more
🌳Why come along?
This isn’t about pressure or “personal growth” in a boring way—it’s about feeling comfortable in your own space, building your confidence, and discovering more of what makes you, you.
You’ll be part of a small, friendly group with two great facilitators who’ll support you in keeping things relaxed and hopefully inspiring.
By joining us, you’ll:
☺️ Experience outdoor learning in a calm, welcoming space
🧘♀️ Opportunities for quiet reflection in our breakout spaces
🧑🤝🧑 Meet new mates and connect with nature
🏹 Boost your confidence, find your own path, and develop skills that make a real difference

🌳Important Info & Pricing:
This 5-hour session is tailored for a small group of 8 to 10 participants, enabling us to offer more personalised attention and adjust to the group's needs. It is led by two skilled and experienced facilitators who have backgrounds in holistic health, education in both schools and home settings, as well as expertise in bushcraft and environmental design. By adopting this approach, we provide this unique opportunity at a reduced rate to make it accessible for families exploring alternative education options. The £35 fee helps us cover only the essential expenses.
As we expand, our comprehensive program will be priced to align with typical funding sources, reflecting the exceptional care, creativity, and personalised support we offer.
We are seeking funding to provide subsidised places in the future, as we are committed to making this education accessible to as many young people as we can.
If parents would like to come and see the space or have any questions, please let us know. We want to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all.
