Women in Computer Science (WiCS) is dedicated to promoting gender equity in computing by advocating for and supporting women, trans, gender-fluid, gender-queer, and non-binary students enrolled in computer science and related computing programs at the University of Waterloo.If you identify as a women/non-binary person and attend the University of Waterloo, please sign up and join us!

Women in Computer Science

WiCS Con is a 1.5-day conference for undergrad and secondary students who identify as women, trans, non-binary, or gender nonconforming.

<p>The conference program includes sessions on hot topics in computing (tech talks, workshops), the hiring process (resume critiques, interview prep, negotiating contracts), careers in computing (Break into ….), panels and mentoring circles, and more. Sessions are led by engineers and mentors from high-tech companies, WiCS, and students.</p><p>WiCS Con 2023 will be held on January 20th and 21st, 2023 in a hybrid format.</p>
