YWCA Minneapolis

The word ‘privilege’ has become controversial. For some it empowers while for others it evokes guilt. What does it mean to have white privilege? How do you recognize it? How can one move past white guilt? This workshop will discuss the fundamentals of identity, power and privilege and, specifically, how society is set up to benefit those who are white. Note: This is not a webinar. Participants will be expected to be engaged in large and small group conversations, and are asked to stay for the full 90-minute duration of the workshop. Please plan to arrive on time. Zoom links will be sent out one hour prior to the workshop start time.
