Association Insights In Old Town (now aka Monthly Events In Cyberspace) is a monthly gathering of the association community, by the association community, for the association community. Join our group for professional development and professional networking. We maintain focus on our primary audience of association management professionals by ensuring that most all program topics are included among the subject matter listed in ASAE’s CAE Exam Content Outline* and that most all program speakers are directly involved in the association community. All events to be held on the first Wednesday of the month. All events consist of education from noon to 1pm and (optional) networking until 1:30pm.*Earn 1 CAE credit for attending any #AssociationInsightsInOldTown lunchtime session.

We will cover:<ul><li>why we need community</li><li>how to create a culture of sharing</li><li>how to design spaces for real people online and in-person</li><li>helping members build meaningful relationships</li></ul>This event will utilize Zoom, closed captioning, and the chat features. Sandra Nam is the Chief Operations Officer for QiqoChat. She is focused on human-centered design and project management, with a goal of advancing the real-world impact of empathy tech. Sandra is a licensed landscape architect and an association board member. Sandra has led QiqoChat projects for clients such as IEEE, the Linux Foundation, the Ecological Landscape Alliance, Association Women Technology Champions, Alpha Omega Dental Society, and Duke University.

Lucas Cioffi is a software developer, entrepreneur, and combat veteran. He graduated from the US Military Academy at West Point and the US Army Ranger School. Lucas served on the board of the 2000-member National Coalition for Dialogue and Deliberation for three years and organized the OpenGov Community summit series in partnership with federal agencies. He is passionate about helping groups collaborate online.
