WhenimondaMic

Bring your pen game. Bring your crew. Leave the weak bars at home.

PayDay LA and HiSong Audio are linking up at Hello Stranger in Downtown LA for WHENIMONDAMIC—a night of live cyphers, raw rhymes, neck-snapping beats, and that ERA of classic independent Hip Hop. Step into the circle, connect with the community, and catch special guest producers and beatmakers playing heat allll night for our lineup of emcees to rhyme over.

Special guest Stevie Crooks will take the stage, performing tracks off his latest album, Lord Of The Shadows. Fall thru ski-masked up and ready to catch the new material live from his self-produced project.

Step Into the Cyphers

Emcees, this is your chance to make the room remember your name. Bring your crew and sign up at the venue. We will be filming during the event so stay sharp!

• One cypher winner takes home $100 and an S1 mic from HiSong Audio, plus a performance slot on a future PayDay LA show.
• The top 3 emcees will appear on PayDay Pay$tyle—our freestyle rap series on Instagram and YouTube. Step up, spit your best lines, and let the world hear your bars.

More Than a Mic

Catch live beat sets, special guest DJs, vendors, and a pop-up record shop, with a full bar on-site. Whether you’re coming to spit, dig for records, meet fellow artists, or discover your next favorite producer, pull up and be part of LA Rap history!

Admission is free with RSVP. Reserve your spot and get those BARS ready! Or pull up to support real independent Hip Hop—from the first beat to the last bar.
