Where can I park?

There is no venue parking, however there is a walkable gravel parking option that's a 2 minute walk (located near Sauna House). There is also lot parking (paid) that is available across the street from the venue.

Is this event only for professionals in the medical field?

Not at all. This event is an opportunity for all to envision better health outcomes no matter your professional background. We want to hear from Black Identifying people about the struggles we face, the ways we can dream together about our collective futures and how to collectively move forward.

Does this event seek to amplify the voices of Black identifying people?

Most definitely. We at Black Women's Health Collective feel it's imperative to curate spaces for Black identifying folks to come and be part of solution building and creative visioning for the health of Black Women and Girls.

Why Now?

Accepted Answer

The loss of any  form of Medicaid will further worsen North Carolina’s already devastating maternal health disparities.Without immediate organizing and coordinated advocacy, our communities risk losing access to preventive care, reproductive health services, and primary care providers.

What will we be doing?

Participating in Facilitator led discussions, Listening and Learning Sessions,  Relationship Building,  some movement of our bodies and creative strategizing.
